The rich creamy batter,
Sizzling
Bubbling
Rising
A firm flip exposes a fluffy fortune
A golden brown underbelly
Crisp yet spongey
Sweet yet light
Some small
Some large
Some hiding chocolate treasures
Some globbed in gooey, golden syrup
Others blessed with bursting blueberries
Others carefully caressed with whipped cream
All of them delicious

I love the alliteration in the line, "A firm flip exposes a fluffy fortune/ Some globbed in gooey, golden syrup." I like it because it sets a mood in the poem and a description of the food. I think the central idea of you poem is perfection because you are talking about how the pancake is perfect, and everything is perfect in its on way.
ReplyDeleteGreat piece ! I really loved the alliteration , "A firm flip exposes a fluffy fortune ". It really helped paint a picture of pancakes on the griddle being flipped.
ReplyDeleteI like this line,"Others carefully caressed with whipped cream." I like that line because it shows how the whip cream was applied perfectly to the pancake, showing great imagery.
