Oh, there they go
Balloons,
drifting towards the sky
Strewn about in randomness
Some as bright and colorful as a
circus
But some,
Some are a daunting, dull gray
Where there are vibrant balloons
The air is teeming with laughter and
happiness,
Proclaiming the joy of their life
Where there are dismal gray balloons
There is nothing,
nothing but the feeling of forlorn
As if they were reclusive their
entire lives
Some beseech for another chance,
To make their lives worthwhile;
To live
But that is one thing they cannot get
They should’ve lived the life they
were given the chance to live
But they didn’t
And now they are sorrowful, dark
souls
Drifting towards nowhere
And everywhere
Thinking of the things they should’ve
done
And the places they should’ve seen
The gaudy balloons jubilantly drift
through the sky
Reliving their best memories
While the caliginous balloons
somberly drift through the air
With no memories left to relive

Your poem has a lot of good details. The central idea of this poem would be chance, some 'balloons' had a chance to live a great life and others didn't. "some beseech for another chance to live, to make their lives worth while; to live"
ReplyDeleteHi Ricky, I really liked your poem. I think the lesson of your poem is live life to the fullest. One line that supports the message is, "They should've lived the life they were given a chance to live".
ReplyDeleteI really liked your poem. I think that the central idea of the poem is regret. I think it's regret, because in your poem it says "But they didn’t and now they are sorrowful, dark souls". The person is saying "They should’ve lived the life they were given the chance to live" i really liked your poem.
ReplyDeletethe message is that the balloons should have a chance to live. A line that supports my message is"They should’ve lived the life they were given the chance to live".
ReplyDeleteHey Ricky, I think you did a very good job on making this poem. I could really feel the mood within the lines "Some beseech for another chance,To make their lives worthwhile; To live." And just looking at it I can see adventure and challenge. And I can feel it was based off the lines "Where there are vibrant balloons The air is teeming with laughter and happiness, Proclaiming the joy of their life Where there are dismal gray balloons There is nothing, nothing but the feeling of forlorn As if they were reclusive their entire lives."
ReplyDeleteDear,Ricky,
ReplyDeleteI loved your poem. It was an amazing way to show that we cant have regret in our life. Your central idea of regret shows us all that we have to live life to the fullest in the time we have. I also loved how you used the line"They should've lived the life they were given the chance to live". Overall, amazing poem.
I really enjoyed this poem. It felt deep and meaningful, and I could tell that you put a lot of thought into it. I felt that the somber mood was established especially well; with lines like "And now they are sorrowful, dark souls." The metaphor that was used here helped us connect these sad souls to an image of lonely wandering balloons.
