War is wrong.
Not good.
Not bad.
Just simply,
Wrong.
As wrong as
A cow led
To slaughter.

Thousands upon Millions
Dead.
Even more
Injured.
Fighting for what you want,
What we want
What we all want.
Some form of unity or peace.
Even though peace
Seems like it is for
Pacifist, peaceful people.

Even if it is bad unity or peace.
No other way
Than our way.
But our way
Is a bloody way
And the bloody custom
Is never the good custom.

  1. Good job Ben. The poetic devices you used were very complex. I liked the simile "As wrong as A cow led To slaughter." I also really enjoyed the refrain "No other way than our way. but our way, is a bloody way." Lastly, I loved the alliteration "Pacifist, peaceful people."

  2. Great job! I like how in your poem you explain that we need to find unity. We can infer that you meant this out of context as well. We need to be nicer people overall, and we can't use violence or rudeness to get what we want, but we just have to be nice. ("Even if it is bad unity or peace, no other way than our way.")

  3. The words, "What we all want. Some form of unity or peace. Even though peace Seems like it is for Pacifist, peaceful people." Shows that the we need to move away from the "Bloody custom". Though it is bad we need to resort to other was than just war.

  4. I loved how the the cental idea came out as you were reading. I thought the message was unity because of these two lines. "Some form of unity or peace Even through peace Seems like it is for Pacifist, peaceful people." and "Even if it is bad unity or peace. No other way Than our way. But our way Is a bloody way and the bloody custom Is never the good custom."
