Bison roaming slowly
through a field,
eating grass and shrubs as they go.
Taking their time slowly observing everything
from the details of the grass to the snowy topped green mountains in far the
distance.
Roaming slowly through a field with the rest
of their herd.
Nonchalantly roaming
not rushing or speeding as if there was an
apparent danger.
Appreciating every
second of life as they roam.

This poem definitely makes you stop and think about your surroundings and take time to notice even the smallest things around you. I think the central idea definitely comes through to me as observation, especially when you said "Taking their time slowly observing everything". It reminds you not to rush your way through life because you might miss something important, or even just beautiful. Nice work!-Casey
ReplyDeleteGood job jeremy! I liked how you showed imagery in your poem with the line "Snow topped green mountains". I also really like the message in your poem, to not rush things and take our time and enjoy life.

There are endless possabilities to a story or a poem but you are the one to choose how yours goes. I would love to read another one of your poems. Keep up the great work Jeremy, I hope to see another poem of yours soon.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your poem. I really think the message is to take your time and not rush things because in your poem you say "Appreciating every second of life as they roam." After reading that line, it made me believe that was the message to this poem.
